ABOUT US We are a firm of Chartered Certified Accountants and Registered Auditors practising from Rushden in Northamptonshire, Kempston near Bedford and Peterborough in Cambridgeshire.. From the location maps which can be found on the 'Contact us' page, you will see that we are conveniently located to cater not only for the immediate localities of Northamptonshire, Cambridgeshire, Leicestershire, Warwickshire, Buckinghamshire and Bedfordshire, but we are also conveniently located near to the major UK road networks of the M1, M6, M11, A1(M) and A14. Nearby rail links connect us via Intercity trains to London and the major conurbations of the UK. Currently we have the pleasure of representing clients throughout the UK and from abroad, with turnovers ranging from a few hundred pounds a year to over twenty million pounds per annum. We are authorised by the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants to carry out audit work in the UK and the Republic of Eire. WHY ARE WE DIFFERENT? The majority of Accountants spent the same number of years as our partners in gaining their qualification and then went straight into public practice as accountants advising others on how to run their businesses. This is like a lifelong tee-totaller advising an alcoholic on the dangers of drinking! We are fortunate in that both of our partners have had many years direct involvement in industry both as executive and non-executive directors, over a variety of industries, as well as having been in practice. This gives us a VERY valuable insight into YOUR needs and the needs of YOUR business rather than some theoretical outlook. Using the services of an accountant as a historical recorder of facts and to carry out statutory compliance is an expensive (but necessary) luxury if that is all you get out of the relationship. We like to get involved with your business at the planning stage so as to help you with the decision making and implementation processes and to try to ensure that you maximise the value of your business. OUR PARTNERS David Andrews Following David's qualification as a Chartered Certified Accountant in 1966, he moved from the accountancy professional office into industry. He has held a series of senior positions in industry, latterly Financial Director posts with the main importer and distributor of German heavy trucks; the developer and producer of ink-jet commercial printing machines; a finance company providing hire purchase, leasing and contract hire finance and a human resources company providing interim management cover and also the recruitment of permanent staff. This experience has now been incorporated into the public practice (where David has been since 1991) bringing together commercial and professional expertise David Robinson David has been in practice since 1977 and has a wide range of experience over many industries and professions, especially in the fields of haulage, power generation and extractive industries. Since 1988 he has acted as adviser to major clients in the Far East and Australasia in matters of corporate organisation and strategy, mergers and acquisitions and on ways of ensuring tax efficient methods of operation. He has travelled extensively on business throughout the Far East, Australasia, the United States and Europe and has developed a network of clients which would be of great benefit to clients looking to operate in, expand in or deal with those areas. He is a firm believer that businesses in the UK should not be inward looking but should be aware not only of the challenges from abroad but also the opportunities that are there!
